In support of the Atlanta Science Fest, I was assigned two partners from GSU’s chemistry department.

Transference and Transference 2 take visual cues from electron spectrometry, a process which proves Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle. In the former, I use the geometric shapes found in reading the location of an electron, where the latter indicates the speed. The method used for Transference 2 included an intaglio print for the skewed black lines.

Pourous Nucleation concerns a lighter topic and the pop culture trend of making a mess with Diet Coke and Pepsi. For the circular bubbles, representing carbonation, I etched aluminum using the very eruption’s carbonic acid, yielding varied results.
